v3.7.119
- A card someone else controls now goes back to its owner the moment it leaves play. Sending it to a discard, a hand or a deck files it with the player who owns it, not the player holding it.
- You can send your own card straight to your deck, hand or discard while an opponent controls it, instead of asking them to do it. The request used to be shown to you rather than to them, and accepting it made the card vanish off your screen without moving anywhere.
- A pile in Deck Mode has a new Load Deck option that fills it from one of your decks, giving you a scratch deck to draw from — Attractions, a token deck, a side deck — without touching the deck you're actually playing. Only the main deck comes across, and it arrives shuffled.
- Cards loaded into a pile that way move to your hand, into play and to any other pile like normal cards, but they never end up in your real deck. Sending one back to the deck, or scooping, returns it to the pile it came from.
- The Board Helpers menu has two new buttons, + Pile and + Deck, that drop an empty pile onto your board for holding cards. A Pile sits face-up and a Deck sits face-down for you to draw off.
- Empty piles and decks save and load with the rest of your Board Helpers. A saved pile stores the empty container, not the cards in it, and piles made by grouping cards on the battlefield are left out.
- Board helpers no longer all arrive on the same spot in the middle of your board. Counters and trays open bottom-left, piles, decks and snap boxes along the bottom, and dice bottom-right, and a second pile lines up beside the first instead of landing on top of it.
- Card names with punctuation in them are findable again. Typing "fot" now brings up Fo'ttr'ak'ka, and Spider-Man cards turn up whether you type the hyphen, a space or neither.
- Signing in with Discord on a shared device no longer drops you into whoever used the browser last. Untap now asks which account you meant instead of quietly moving your Discord link onto theirs.
- A Discord account already linked to an Untap account can no longer be re-linked to a second one. Unlink it from the first account first.
- The card preview on a phone now springs up from the bottom of the screen and drops back down, instead of appearing in one hard cut.
- The chat button on the phone game bar now counts chat and board actions separately, as "2/12", instead of one number that only counted chat.
- The "Cards in <zone>" strip under a previewed card can be swiped along on mobile. The thumbnails were picking up the board's no-touch-gestures rule and eating every swipe.
- Game chat scrolls on mobile again. A rule left over from an old custom scrolling implementation had the native scroller switched off on small screens, and the scrollbar beside it only responds to a mouse, so there was no way to reach older messages.
- The fat scrollbar under an expanded pile is now drawn by Untap rather than the browser. iPhone Safari and Firefox never rendered it, and because a sideways swipe on a card is a card drag, that left no way at all to scroll a big pile on an iPhone.
- Peeping the top of a deck (Scry) now has a "1 more" slot sitting where the peep ends, so you can turn one more card over without closing the peep and peeping again.
v3.7.118
- Menus no longer show hotkey badges on a phone. There is no key to press, and they were drawn hanging off the edge of the menu over the board.
- The ring that marks a card arriving in play now fades on its own after three seconds on a phone or tablet. It was waiting for a mouse movement that never comes on a touch screen, so it sat there for half a minute.
- On a phone, the game bar and your seat panel now stay put at the bottom of the screen and an expanded pile opens above them, instead of the bar jumping into the middle of the screen every time you opened a pile.
- On a phone, the type filters on an expanded pile are now one button that opens a menu instead of a row of chips, so the pile title and close button aren't shoved off the edge of the screen. The button lights up while a filter is on.
- Deck Play Notes on a phone is now a normal centred pop-up instead of taking over the whole screen.
- On a phone, the burger button on the game bar now opens the bar's leftover buttons in a column above it, instead of a text menu. Board Helpers, Rewind and the game settings cog have moved into that column, the burger has swapped places with the Discord button so it sits on the far left, and Deck Notes and Dice now sit beside it. The column pops open a button at a time.
v3.7.117
- Untap gameplay freeze issue fixes. Not guarenteed, report if there are still issues.
v3.7.116
- New "Walk" action on your deck and on in-play piles in Deck Mode, for effects like cascade and discover: it turns the top cards face-up for everyone at the table, with an empty slot at the end to turn over one more. Closing it puts anything left back face-down.
- Expanded piles now stack repeats of the same card, so a full deck fits on screen instead of scrolling past the same picture twenty times. Hovering one brings it to the front.
- Expanded piles have filter buttons for the card types in the pile, so you can pick out just the creatures or just the lands. Face-down cards never contribute a type.
- The expanded pile header has been tidied up: the close button on the right, the menu and an always-open card search together on the left.
- Clicking a discard or expel pile now just expands it, instead of the top card claiming the click and opening its own menu on top of the pile.
- Clicking a card in your deck now opens with a row of icons to send it straight to play, your hand, or the top or bottom of the deck.
- Fixed "Bottom Shuffled" in the pile menus doing nothing different to plain "Bottom". Those cards now go to the bottom in a random order, leaving the rest of the deck alone.
- "Send Revealed to" in a pile menu now picks up cards that are revealed to everyone, not just ones you peeped at yourself.
- The seat panel in the corner has been redesigned: a wider dark plate with your seat colour on the name bar, a much larger life total, round +/- buttons and a full circular avatar. The phone layout is unchanged.
- The turn tracker on the divider line is now a plate in the current player's seat colour, with their avatar and the turn and round split into two numbers. Its buttons name their hotkeys too.
- A card landing in play is ringed in yellow until you move your mouse, so you can't miss what just happened. Turn it off under Settings, Game Settings.
- Hovering a card now tells you which turn it arrived where it is.
- Refreshing your browser mid-game now takes you straight back to the board, instead of leaving you in the lobby to find your game and click back in. If the game ended while you were away it says so.
- Refreshing while signed in now goes straight from the loading screen to your dashboard, instead of flashing the login page and its logo on the way through.
- Fixed refreshing on a slow connection making your own game vanish from the lobby. The game list is now given longer to arrive, and is retried if it doesn't turn up.
- On phones the Discord voice button has moved to the far left of the in-game bar, so it is no longer sitting under the chat button people were reaching for.
- Fixed every deck in the Shared and Public tabs of the in-game deck picker showing "no cards" and refusing to be selected.
- Fixed decks staying locked after subscribing, until the deck was next edited.
- Fixed removing a card's stat counter not sticking: moving the card afterwards put the printed stats straight back on. The counter is now only added as a card enters play.
v3.7.115
- Fixed the bottom of the in-game icon bar being cut off on laptop-height windows, which hid the Follow Turn Player toggle and the voice buttons. The icons now sit centred in the bar and tighten up when the window is short.
- Custom CCG cards can now record a card type, sub-types, power and health, and the card finder filters on them. Fill in both power and health and the card lands on the board with its stat counter already showing.
- Type, sub-type and trait filters now autocomplete from what has already been entered, across every game that has them — Lorcana and Dragon Ball traits, One Piece traits and keywords, Vs affiliations, Magic subtypes.
- The card finder now has filters for Sorcery, Contested Realm — card type, element, mana cost, power and the four elemental thresholds.
- Fixed typed search filters with an underscore in the name, like :meta-combo_power, quietly matching nothing. Affected Dragon Ball Super, Fusion World and Final Fantasy.
- Sorcery, Contested Realm sites now come in landscape by default, so an Atlas card sits sideways on the board without having to set it by hand.
- Fixed hitting the starred-card limit doing nothing at all, and the window it opens having no close button.
- Hovering a card mentioned in the game log now rings that card in yellow wherever it is on the board, so you can spot what an event was about.
- Quick Action entries in the game log are readable again — the card name and its QA tag were rendering nearly black against the log.
- Replays are no longer a Powered-Up feature — anyone can watch any replay, from the Replays tab, a profile, or a share link.
- Replays are now kept for 60 days instead of 30. Starring a replay to keep it forever is still a Powered-Up perk.
- The Replays list now shows when each game was recorded and how many times it's been watched.
- Recent Public Games can now be sorted by most watched or most recent.
- Replays on a player's profile got a tidy up — they now show who was at the table, how long the game ran, when it was recorded and how many views it has.
- New cog in the game bar — MTG Settings, Pokémon Settings — for your own preferences, kept per card game: Auto Stat Counter, Pop Actions, and Quick Actions (moved out of Settings).
- Quick Actions are no longer a Powered-Up feature — anyone can use and write them. The "Enable Quick Actions for all players" box has gone from game creation.
- Card notes are visible again — the note prints on one line beside its chip on the card's left rail. Hover the note icon to open it out in full, click to edit, shift-click to remove.
- Fixed a face-down card showing its stat counter, which gave away its printed power and toughness.
- Fixed a dead spot when clicking a card counter — the remove-X flyout's hover buffer was swallowing clicks on the chip underneath it.
- Hovering a card in hand now lifts it above its neighbours, so its tooltips and quick actions aren't cut off by the next card.
- The hand's card count and its burger menu are now one button — a hand icon and the count, which opens the hand menu when clicked.
- Game voice channels on Discord are now only open to the people in that game. Clicking Voice puts you on that channel's list; anyone else in the Discord server can see the channel but can't connect to it or post in its chat. It needs your Discord account linked in Settings, and it covers spectators as well as players, so late arrivals just click Voice like everyone else.
- The bot now helps you find the channel instead of leaving you to hunt for it. If you're already sitting in another voice channel on the Untap server it moves you straight across; otherwise it mentions you in the channel itself, so the notification takes you there in one tap. It won't nag — clicking Voice again within ten minutes stays quiet.
- Deck URL import picks up nine more sites — Card Kingdom builder links, Cardfight!! Vanguard's official deck recipes, FaBrary for Flesh and Blood, Materia Hunter for Final Fantasy, Limitless One Piece, Limitless Play tournament decklists for Pokemon, Playgroup.gg and ScryCheck for Commander, and universus.cards for Universus.
- FaBrary and universus.cards step in for fabdb.net and ufsultra.com, both of which have gone offline, so Flesh and Blood and Universus decks can be imported again.
- Final Fantasy decks now have a Limit Break Deck of their own, so the 8 LB cards in a Materia Hunter import no longer land in the main deck and make it read as 58. Flesh and Blood and Universus decks have gained a Maybe Board.
v3.7.114
- The game log now records how long each turn took when it's passed.
- The subscribe and gift checkouts now say up front that you don't need a PayPal account — you can pay by credit or debit card as a guest.
- The in-game deck picker now has tabs — My Decks, Shared Decks and Public Decks — and every deck carries its own View and Select buttons. View opens that deck's visual view right over the game.
- New hotkey — shift + x untaps your play area and draws a card in one press, the same thing the Untap All + Draw button does. Rebindable in the hotkeys list.
- Counters, symbols, notes and markers like locked or face down now sit in one panel down the card's left edge. Hover a chip to name it, hover a counter for its X, shift-click a symbol to remove it.
- New stat counter — the N/N box bottom-right of a card. Creatures get one as they hit the board (Magic from printed power/toughness); click a half to raise it, right-click to lower, shift for five. Add one by hand from the card menu for tokens.
- The card preview now shows the same markers. On phones, tap the note to edit it, tap a symbol to remove it, and tap a counter for its +, − and remove.
- Fixed the hands, decks and piles on phones covering cards at the top and bottom of the board. The board and the seat rows are now measured against each other to fit the screen you're on, so they no longer overlap — on smaller phones the board gives up a little size to make the room.
- Turn timers are no longer a Powered-Up feature. Anyone can switch one on when creating a multiplayer game, and pick whether the clock starts when you receive the turn or on your first draw.
- Giving control of a card in play no longer throws it across the board. It stays exactly where it was sitting — on your screen and on theirs — instead of jumping to the mirror-image spot on the new controller's side.
- The Discord voice button in the game bar now tells you what's happening: how many people are in the channel, whether there's one to join at all, green while you're in it, and a pulse when the table is talking without you. It's there for spectators now, and on phones, where it drops you straight into the Discord app. Fixed the Voice badge in the games list staying lit long after the channel had been tidied up, and the "joined the Discord voice channel" lines only reaching the game log some of the time.
v3.7.113
- Quick patch for mobile display collisions
v3.7.112
- The in-game chat has been redesigned. Chat and the game log now sit in one panel with All / Chat / Actions tabs across the top, rows that follow your interface theme, and a tidier message box.
- New panel next to the message box — Quick Chat, Whisper and Emoji. Quick chats are yours to edit now: add your own, remove the ones you never use, and the ones you use most rise to the bottom of the list, nearest the box. Press ↑ in the message box to open them and Enter to send.
- Tab now puts the cursor in the chat box from anywhere on the board. "b" still does too.
- The chat fading back over the board while you're not using it can be turned off — ☰ in the chat, "Keep Chat Always Visible".
- Fixed game log lines showing a literal "=>" where an arrow should have been, so moves now read "Deck → Hand".
- Fixed the game-over prompts ("Left Game", "Starting a new game") following you back to the lobby and hanging around over the games list.
- Fixed the Card text display setting doing nothing — turning it off now really does drop the rules text from the in-game hover preview and leave you with just the art.
- Fixed sideboarding between games sometimes only offering the cards that happened to end the game in your deck (a 60 card deck showing as "Deck 32/Sideboard 15"). The board is now fully scooped back into the deck before the sideboard editor opens, so you always get your whole 75.
- On phones your hand now gets a full row to itself, with your piles on the left and your deck on the right underneath it, instead of the hand and deck sharing a line and the piles floating above. Your opponent's side mirrors it, so both hands sit nearest the board. Piles are a little larger too.
- Fixed snap box labels not sticking — renaming one, then moving it, put the old label back. Renames are also sent to the other players now, rather than only showing up the next time the box was moved.
- Fewer notifications when a game starts. You're no longer told you joined your own game (or that your second seat joined), and the "being created" and "created" pair is down to one. Spectators arriving are recorded in the action log only.
- Fixed the Insert Deck button on phones sitting on top of the player bar and life counter.
- The roll key takes a number now — 22` rolls a D22, 8` rolls a D8, and a bare ` is still a D6. No more digging into the dice menu for "Roll D?".
- The dice menu can roll a handful at once — "Roll Multiple…" asks how many dice and how many sides, and you get one log line with every result and the total. Works for coin flips too.
- Fixed the games list coming out in a different order for everyone, with games already in progress scattered through the middle of it. Games waiting for players now sit at the top, games you can still join mid-match under them, and games you can only watch at the bottom — and the list holds its order instead of reshuffling every time a game updates.
- Cloning one of your own decks now brings its sleeve along with it, if you're powered up. Cloning someone else's shared deck still gives you your own sleeve rather than theirs.
- Exported decks now come back in properly. Pasting an untap .txt export puts each card back in the zone it came from — main deck, sideboard, maybe board, hand and the discard/expel/facedown piles — instead of collapsing the whole list into one zone.
- Card database: "Recently Uploaded" and "Recently Edited" now actually sort newest-first, including across pages — page one is the newest cards rather than an arbitrary slice. "Recently Edited" also no longer falls back to listing the entire catalogue when nothing has been edited that week.
- You can rewind a game now. The new button in the bar down the left — or ctrl + z — lists what's been done so far this round; pick an action and the board goes back to how it was just before it, for everyone. Playing on your own it happens straight away; with other people at the table it needs a majority of them to agree first.
- Rewinding shuffles everyone's deck by default, because anyone who saw the cards you're putting back still knows what they were. Untick that if the order of your deck matters more to you than the guesswork. Anything said in chat during the stretch you undid stays where it is — only the plays are taken back, and the game log records who rewound and how far.
v3.7.110
- Fixed replays showing every card in play piled up in the top-left corner of the board after scrubbing the timeline backwards or jumping to an earlier round. The board is now re-measured on the jump, so cards land where the players actually had them.
- The Account window has been rebuilt. The menu down the side has icons and is grouped into sections instead of being one long list, the panel beside it lays everything out on cards, and the window is wider so there's room to actually read it.
- New Overview section — your avatar and playmat, when you joined, games played, hours, win rate and your Power Up all in one place, plus switches for hotkeys and card prices without going into Settings.
- Profile is now its own section. Your avatar, playmat and deck sleeve each get a line of their own with Add, Change and Remove. Without a Power Up the playmat and sleeve lines now tell you they're locked, rather than quietly vanishing.
- Untap Settings is no longer one long wall of options. It's split into Interface, Game Settings, Deck Builder and Account, each folding open on its own, and a folded section tells you what's set inside it — "Classic · Medium", "3 of 3 on". Every setting also has an (i) next to it explaining what it actually changes.
- Change Password and Change Email are now one Security section, which also shows your current email address and whether it's been validated.
- Play Stats opens inside the Account window like everything else instead of as a second window on top, and now leads with your last 30 days — games, hours, win rate and current win streak — above the chart and your game history.
- On phones the Account menu is a list you tap into, with a back arrow, instead of a squashed sidebar taking a third of the screen.
- Fixed clicking a player's name in your game history doing nothing.
- Warlord: Saga of the Storm — three new buttons above your hand. Ready Phase straightens every turned card in your play area by one step (90° → upright, 180° → 90°, 270° → 180°), Draw up to 5 tops your hand back up, and Pass says "Pass" in the game chat.
- Hold shift with the default action to pivot a card in play 180° instead of 90° — shift + space over the card, or shift-click its ␣ button. Shift flips between 180° and 90°; the plain default is still what straightens a card.
- Some changes to how the Card Search works for Warlord, Attempts to order by set release date (showling the latest on top)
- Cloning a card that sits in a snap box now drops the copy in the slot right next to the original, instead of jumping it to the far left (or top) of the box.
- Attaching a card to another card while both are in a snap box no longer leaves a dead gap in the box. The attached card gives up its slot when it attaches, so the remaining cards close up and new cards can be dropped where you'd expect.
- Snap boxes have been restyled to sit under the board rather than fence it off. Instead of a permanent white outline they're now a soft, darkened wash of whatever colour you picked for the box, and the outline only appears — in that colour — while you're holding a card over the box, so you can see exactly which one it's about to go into.
- Snap box titles and their counters are now readable on every colour. Each plate is darkened to whatever depth its white text needs and the text carries a soft shadow, so a red or green box reads as clearly as a dark blue one instead of washing out. Dice also pick their black/white text by measuring which you can actually read, rather than the rough brightness guess that leaned white too often.
- Fixed the mobile card preview being shoved off the side of the screen when a card had several quick actions — long action labels stretched the menu wider than the phone, dragging the card out of view with it. Quick actions now sit two to a line under the card, everything else in the menu wraps instead of overflowing, and the card stays centred.
- The deck's Cover image picker is easier to read — four larger thumbnails to a row instead of a cramped six, and a filter box in line with the heading so you can type a card name instead of scrolling a big deck to find the art you want.
- On phones, the X on the deck editor now closes the deck options panel if it's open, rather than closing the whole deck out from under it. Tap it again to leave the deck.
- Shift-click cards in your deck list to select several at once. The card menu then works on the whole selection, offering Remove, Move to and Reload — handy for pulling a handful of cards out of a deck or shifting them to the sideboard in one go. The header shows how many are selected, Escape (or "clear") drops the selection.
- A selection drags as a block. Grab any card in it and the rest come with you — drop them into another zone to move the lot, or drag them off the list to remove them all. The card under the cursor carries a badge with how many are coming along.
- The card search Filters panel is now a tidy list instead of a sprawl of boxes. Each filter — card type, colors, mana value, sets, rarity, print, format — is one line showing what you've picked, and opens in place when you tap it. Every game's filters line up the same way now, and each line has its own clear button.
v3.7.109
- Shift + double-click a card to select every card of the same type — double-click a land and all your lands come with it, ready to pivot, send somewhere or take a counter in one go. Works in play and in hand, and goes off the card's real type, so an artifact creature is picked up by both artifacts and creatures. Cards with no type on record (custom art, tokens, or games whose card details haven't been filled in) select every copy of the same card instead.
- Counters and symbols can now be put on a whole selection at once. Select a few cards in play — drag a box around them, or shift-click each one — and the group menu has Add Counter and Add Symbol alongside the rest. Add Counter puts a fresh counter on every selected card, each in its own next free slot, and its hotkey does the same while a selection is up. Add Symbol toggles a badge across the group: it goes on every card missing it, and only comes off when all of them already have it.
- Selected cards now drag as a group out of your hand, and out of the expanded deck view you get from Find Card or Peep. Select a few, drag any one of them into play (or to a pile, or back to your deck) and the rest come along, landing in the same arrangement you picked them up in — until now only the card actually under the cursor made the trip, and the others stayed put.
- Hovering a counter on another player's snap box now shows what that counter is called, the same as it does on your own. Their counters were unreadable before — you could see a number but had no way to find out what it was counting. Spectators can read every box's counters too.
- Another player's life and second counter now flash when they change — green when the number goes up, red when it goes down, with the number itself giving a quick throb. Easy to miss an opponent quietly paying life or ticking a counter along while you're looking at the board. Your own counters don't flash, since you already know what you just did; spectating, every player's do.
v3.7.107
- Every game now has its own card symbols. Symbols fell back to a list of Magic keywords for any game that hadn't been set up, so Digimon and One Piece players were being offered Deathtouch and Monarch — 47 games now have palettes built from their own rulebooks: Pokémon gets its five Special Conditions (Asleep, Burned, Confused, Paralyzed, Poisoned), One Piece gets Rush, Blocker and Banish, Lorcana gets Bodyguard, Evasive and Drying, and so on. Anything still without a palette of its own now falls back to plain table states (Attacking, Damaged, Stunned) rather than Magic keywords.
- Your own symbols — add your own emoji and names to any game from the card menu → Add Symbol → "Edit my symbols". They're private to you, saved per game, and marked with a dot in the grid so you can tell them apart from the game's shared ones. Reuse an emoji the game already has to rename it just for yourself. Handy for Custom Card Games, which have no palette of their own.
- Symbol names now travel with the badge, so hovering a symbol another player put on a card tells you what they meant by it — including symbols they made up themselves. The game log names them too ("added 🔥 Burning") instead of logging a bare emoji.
- Attached cards are easier to see and grab — hover a card and its whole attachment stack lifts above the board and fans open to the right, settling back when you move away.
- Cards carrying a lot of attachments now sit in a tighter stack, so ten auras take up no more board space than three. Hover to fan them back out.
- Attachments can now sit above the card they're attached to instead of below — Settings → Game Settings → Attached Card Direction. Changes your view only.
- Your settings now follow your account instead of your browser. Card prices, suggested cards, preview size, theme, hotkeys and the rest were only ever saved on the device you set them on, so a new browser, a second machine, or a browser set to clear site data on close handed you the defaults back. They're saved to your account now and come back when you log in.
v3.7.106
- Again more backend changes mostly, house cleaning and optimisations.
v3.7.105
- More backend changes.
v3.7.104
- Mostly backend changes this update, nothing you'll notice. Resuffling services and optimisations.
- DeckPlanet importer better support for imports cards into zones.
v3.7.103
- "Suggested for your deck" can now be turned off — click the × on the suggestions header in the deck editor and it stays off for good, or flip it back on any time under Settings → Deck Builder Settings → Suggested Cards. Suggestions also respect the deck's format now: a card with no printing legal in the format you're building for is left out of the list entirely instead of showing up as a red row.
- Fixed cards and decks showing no coin value, or a value well under what the cards are worth. Some price sources record a card as costing nothing when they have no market price for it, and because the coin is the cheapest price we can find, those empty prices were winning — most visibly on older, pricier cards like the original dual lands. Empty prices are now ignored, so the coin is the lowest real price across every printing.
- Wixoss now has a full card database — around 9,400 cards covering All-Star, Key Selection and Diva Selection, every one with its English name and rules text (English scans where a card got an English print, Japanese ones otherwise). Rules text renders with the printed icons as coloured badges, and you can filter by card type, colour, class, level, power, limit, LRIG limit, keywords and format — try :legal=en-diva or :meta-type=arts in card search.
- Card preview size now previews itself — hover Small, Medium or Large in Settings and the card preview pops up at that size, so you can compare the three before picking one.
- Sample hand — the "Starts in Deck" line in the deck editor now has a Sample Hand button that deals you an opening hand from that deck, shuffled exactly the way the game engine shuffles a real deck and sized to the game's own opening draw (7 for Magic, 5 for most others). Hit Mulligan to reshuffle and deal a fresh one.
- Deck play notes — every deck now has its own notes, editable from the new Play Notes tab in the deck editor and from the notepad button on the in-game game bar. The in-game pad is a floating window you can drag and resize (it remembers where you left it) and it saves as you type, so you can jot down a line mid-game and read it back next time you play the deck.
- Play notes quick-inserts — drop in a stamp that links back to that exact moment of the game's replay, or a list of the cards currently in your hand. Cards are written as [[Card Name (set)]], which become hoverable card previews in the deck editor — click one to search for it. While writing a note in-game, hover any card and press Tab to insert it.
- Replays now list every round on the player — click a round (or its dot on the timeline) to jump straight to it, and the address bar follows along so you can copy the link mid-watch. The new 🔗 button copies a link to the exact moment you're watching, and "Stop Spectating" in the game menu now exits a replay properly.
- Fixed in-game context menus (and other panels) rendering see-through on older browsers — anything predating Chrome 111 / Safari 16.2 / Firefox 113, most commonly Chrome 109, the final version available on Windows 7 and 8.1. Those browsers now fall back to the Classic colours instead of losing the background entirely, and the theme picker is hidden for them since themes rely on the newer colour support.
- Interface themes — pick a colour theme for the whole app in Settings → Interface theme. Choose Classic (the original look), Midnight, Forest, Plum, Slate, Desert, pink Strawberry or neon Cyber; the accent, chrome and background all recolour instantly, no reload.
- The post-game ratings screen now only lists players you actually shared a round with, so a game with a rotating cast no longer asks you to rate people you never sat down with — and players who never played a round with a deck can neither rate you nor be rated.
- You can now rate only the players you have an opinion on — leave a row untouched to skip it and hit "Submit ratings" instead of being forced to thumbs up everyone.
v3.7.102
- "Draw Opening Hand" and "Mulligan" now show for every player during the first round of the game, not just whoever's turn it is — no more waiting for your turn to pick up your hand. Mulligan also no longer hides itself in games where cards start in play; it now stays available while your hand still matches the opening draw size.
- Short single-word card notes now show their text right on the card as a small badge instead of a generic note icon — click it to edit as before (longer notes and phones keep the icon).
- Fixed the remove-counter (X) button in the mobile card preview not responding to taps — the collapsed card-text panel was invisibly covering it and swallowing the tap.
- Free decks can now hold up to 300 cards (up from 200) — power up for up to 1000.
- Reverted counters back to old size in card preview.
- Keyword Trigger quick actions — bind a keyword to a card that, in one click, logs "activated *keyword*" to the game log and (optionally) plays an animation for everyone, replacing the Shake-then-type-in-chat workaround.
- Any quick action can now play an animation when run — pick one from the new grouped animation picker (hover a tile to preview, click to choose), now used for every animation selector in the card editor.
- Fixed the card editor's Save button doing nothing when required fields sat on an inactive tab (a browser form-validation error); saving now works from any tab.
- Card edit history now has its own "History" tab in the card editor — each edit's author, time, and field-by-field changes (old → new) laid out clearly instead of a raw JSON dump.
- Meta-only card edits are now recorded in the edit history — previously changing just a card's meta saved the value but left no history entry.
- Card editing is now permission-gated on the server: free accounts edit only cards they uploaded, Powered-Up members edit any card, and heavily-used cards lock their images, print type, and name to moderators (other fields open to long-standing Powered-Up or Sportsmanship members).
- Free accounts can add up to 10 cards per month (Custom Card Game uploads stay unlimited) — power up for unlimited uploads.
- Play a second seat — while a multiplayer game waits for players, Powered-Up players can claim an empty seat as their bizarro self ("Play a second seat" on the board), pick a second deck, and play both seats like solo Deck vs Deck: flip between boards, or let the view follow whichever of your seats has the turn. Release the claimed seat any time before the game starts; leaving or being kicked takes your second seat with you.
- Requests between other players and your second seat show the normal Accept/Deny prompt (only your own cross-seat requests auto-accept), your second seat's hand stays hidden from opponents, and second seats are skipped by the end-of-game experience-rating prompt.
- Snap boxes, dice, trays, counters and saved board layouts now land on the board you're playing as when flipped to your second seat — previously they always went to your main board (also fixes solo Deck vs Deck).
- Stacked multiplayer view fixes: snap boxes on non-active boards now fade out like everything else, and faded dice/snap boxes/counters no longer float in front of the active player's cards.
v3.7.101
- Clean up the QA importer script.
- Card status symbols — mark a card in play with emoji badges (Flying, Poison, etc.) from the card menu → Add Symbol. Each game has its own palette, editable by admins.
- Reordering cards within a snap box no longer spams the game log — only genuine placements into a box get logged, not shuffling cards around inside it.
- Card control — taking a card from a shared pile now gives you control of it while the owner keeps ownership (and can reclaim it); scooping your deck also recalls your own cards that other players are controlling.
- In-play piles — group cards into a pile and switch it between Stack (open, face-up) and Deck (facedown draw-pile) modes; drag cards into a pile, and optionally share it so any player can draw from it (shared piles show an owner-coloured badge). Mode and sharing stay owner-only.
- Fixes for some deck permission bug blocking dragging and needed to request movement.
- Replays are now public — a new "Recent Public Games" tab lists the last 50 finished games from across Untap, and every profile shows that player's replays. Watching is still a Perks feature.
- Replay share links — copy a link from any replay row, or just watch one and grab the URL from the address bar. Anyone you send it to can watch it.
- Perks members who'd rather not list their games on their profile can switch that off in Settings (they still appear in Recent Public Games).
- Deck sharing now has a Friends option — set a deck to Friends (from the deck's options or the visual deck view) and it shows on your profile to, and can be loaned in-game by, people you've added as friends, while staying hidden from everyone else. Private and Public still work as before.
- Popular decks in the deck picker — a new "Popular decks" section shows the most-played public decks for your game (ranked across all players over the last 90 days), so you can borrow a proven community deck straight into a game even if you don't have one of your own.
v3.7.100
- Give Control of a card to another player — click a card in play → Give Control → pick a player
- Request Control — click an opponent's card in play to ask them to hand it over; they get the usual Accept/Deny prompt, same as other requests.
- Card group piles now have two modes (switch from the group's menu): Stack Mode is an open, face-up pile like a discard — click to browse it; Deck Mode turns it into a facedown mini-deck hidden from everyone, with deck-style actions (draw, shuffle, search, flip top). In Deck Mode the whole pile opens its menu and a double-click draws the top card.
- Turn any group into a shared "common" pile (group menu → Enable Common) that every player can draw from — a card drawn from a common pile comes under your control while its owner keeps ownership and can take it back.
- Game action request pop-ups now show card names as blue links you can hover to preview, matching the chat log.
- Online users list now has a "find players of a game" dropdown — filter the online list to just the people who own a deck for a given game, with a live online count shown for each of your games (only lists games you have a deck for)
- URL deck import support added for ten more sites — paste a deck link straight into the importer: ygoprodeck.com (Yu-Gi-Oh — decks and cubes), digimoncard.io (Digimon), pokemoncard.io (Pokémon), encoredecks.com (Weiss Schwarz), curiosa.io (Sorcery: Contested Realm), gumgum.gg (One Piece), commandertemplate.com and topdeck.gg (Magic — Commander / cEDH), mtg.cardsrealm.com (Magic), and manapool.com (Magic card lists)
- Deck importer fixes — Streamdecker, SWUDB (Star Wars Unlimited), FFDecks, Dreamborn (Lorcana) and MTGGoldfish all changed their sites and broke; importing from them works again
- MTGGoldfish import now also takes individual /deck/ links and article decklists, not just archetype-overview pages
- Egman Events import now supports Gundam, Digimon and Riftbound decks; ExBurst now imports Union Arena (Asia) decks
- Fixed One Piece imports (Egman Events and onepiece.gg) pulling the wrong card printings — cards now match the exact print from the decklist instead of a random same-named one
- Backend changes chasing performance improvements.
v3.7.99
- Fixed single-player Deck vs Deck games refusing to load your own private deck for the second seat ("This deck is not available to borrow")
- Cloned shared decks no longer dissapear into your deck list and open after cloning.
- URL deck import support added for four more sites — paste a deck link from riftdecks.com or piltoverarchive.com (Riftbound), vanguardcard.io (Cardfight!! Vanguard) or spellweave.app (MTG Commander) straight into the deck importer
- Fix for saving board helpers.
v3.7.97
- Saving a drafted deck no longer mangles it — different printings of the same card stay separate (instead of every copy collapsing into one art), and sideboards are kept properly (Pokémon and several other games were losing theirs entirely)
- Draft and sealed packs are fixed for sets that were opening nearly empty — sets like MSH that showed only a couple of cards now build full packs
- Draft packs no longer hand the same cards to every player; each seat opens its own pack
- The end of a draft now gives you a full supply of each basic land to build with, instead of a single one of each
- Sets without enough cards to draft are no longer offered, and if a set is a little thin for your table size the create screen now warns you that some cards will repeat across packs
- DeckPlanet's short share links (deckplanet.net/d/…) can now be pasted into the deck importer, not just the full deck URL
- You can now mark a player as away from the Game Menu (or mark yourself) — away players' turns are automatically skipped, so a table no longer stalls when several people step out
- You can now copy an opponent's board helpers — the Game Menu lists any opponent with helpers set up, and picking one saves their snap boxes, trays, dice and counters into one of your layout slots and applies it to your board straight away
- Game Replays, you can now playback your paste games (Perks only feature)
- New public landing pages at untap.in/play — one per supported card game, with live card/deck stats, plus a sitemap so search engines can finally find us
- Deck sharing — mark a deck public to show it on your profile and let others view or loan it right in-game (a new "Shared decks" section in the deck picker lists public decks from the other players at your table); private decks stay reachable only by their share link, and every deck now has a clean short /deck/ link you can copy
- cubecobra.com URL deck import support added — paste a cube link (list/overview/about) to import the whole cube as an ungrouped pile, or a drafted-deck link to import that seat's deck + sideboard
v3.7.96
- Mobile life counter fixes, hold to prompy input.
- Board Helpers and Dice icons in the game bar now show tooltips on hover
- Deck/game title filter relaxed so it stops blocking innocent names; when a title is rejected it now tells you which word tripped it
- Card counter remove-X is easier to click — bigger hover area so it no longer vanishes when you move the mouse toward it
- Snap-box counter labels now show a small menu icon on hover, hinting you can click to rename/recolour/remove the counter
- Player Badges settings: tooltips on right-side badges now open leftward so they no longer clip off-screen
- Mobile: finding a card in a deck no longer reveals the deck's card order in the preview (it stays hidden, as intended)
- Custom card game (CCCG) set filter now lists custom sets, not just official ones
- Warlord (Saga of the Storm) card search no longer shows duplicate cards; printings now group under one card and slugs are cleaned up
- "Keep existing" between rounds now keeps your sideboard instead of resetting it to the registered decklist
- Fixed a rare bug where loading a new deck for a new round could merge the old and new decks into hundreds of cards
- Board Helpers overhaul — snap boxes, counter trays, dice and counters now save/load/clear together in one place (with a picker for which components to save), and your loaded layout reapplies automatically when you reset your deck between rounds
- Starred cards extended functionality, clean up and define better + add ability to swap deck cards for starred cards will a single click (helpful for importers)
- Fixed decks sometimes not loading on login (blank "No Decks" or stuck spinner) — the deck list now reconciles against the server and re-fetches any decks that don't arrive, so it self-heals without a refresh
- Discord auto-mod now catches spam images that are cross-posted across multiple channels (a common sign of a compromised account) — it removes every copy and times the account out, and replaces the old "too many images" rule that sometimes flagged innocent multi-image posts
- Discord #self-promotion now allows invite links in threads/forum posts too (they were being wrongly removed), and invite links there are open to members who've been on Untap for 3+ months — newer accounts get a friendly DM explaining the wait instead of a silent delete
v3.7.95
- Home-screen Discord icon now joins you to the Untap server if you've linked Discord but aren't a member yet, instead of opening a generic Discord page
